“Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.” – Proverbs 26:23

We all know or have experienced someone who is always ready to talk about something with evil intent. They have no desire to share something helpful but rather something hurtful. Solomon describes this as a person with lips on fire because of the heart that is burning with wickedness. While they feel they are sharing something of value, Solomon compares it to BROKEN POTTERY that is covered in the WASTE that burns off silver. Broken pottery is already USELESS. Adding the clumpy dirty dross to it, lowers its value even further to now be WORTHLESS.
Do not invest your time in listening to or speaking useless things because it will be covered in wickedness and only make you sound worthless. God takes us through the fire to remove the worthless things so that we can speak words of life. That which is useless and worthless is dead to us. Satan wants us to speak death. Do not partake of it.
Meditation: Your words are not meant to spread death, but life! What are you spreadling?
