KEEP US, LORD
Day 9: Jeremiah 29:10-13
Israel was taken from Jerusalem to Babylon because of sin and the prophets were saying God was going to deliver them right away. God said deliverance would come after 70 years. It is after this when God says “ I know the thoughts I think towards you”. It’s a popular verse but the context is God saying I know the thoughts I think towards you even when I allow you to go through the pain.
Sometimes the pain that we are in, we have to go through it. We would like to pray that God would bring us out, but His plan is to keep us in. If so, may our prayers be that He keep us strong, pure, and faithful.
(Prayer):
Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. There is no one like You. Whatever problem we may be going through, I ask You God to keep us strong. Not strong in ourselves, but strong in Your word. Keep us pure. Pure from the things of this world that can taint us. Keep us faithful. Faithful to You and only You. In the process, we now that You will lead us through whatever we have to go through.
We trust in Your plan and Your thoughts because they are better for us than our own. Your plans and thoughts are for our future to be stronger and closer to You. In Jesus’ Name, amen!
