CALL ON HIM

Day 5: Jeremiah 33:1-3

Jeremiah was still in prison for speaking the truth of God when the word of the Lord came to him. The word was not about deliverance for Jeremiah, but restoration for the people. This was Jeremiah’s prayer – for the people. Jeremiah was living right and in the place where God needed him to be, but the people‘s hearts were just as must in slavery as they were. God spoke to Jeremiah saying to call to Him and God would answer him and show him what He can do. It is a reminder that the problem is in God’s hands.

When we call on His name, we acknowledge that it is in His name that we trust because there is no other name that can save us. We call knowing He will answer not in our time, but at the right time – God’s time. When you pray, pray knowing He will answer; knowing the enemy is defeated; knowing that there is nothing too hard for God; knowing that the chains will break. In Jesus’ Name!

(Prayer): Lord over all. I thank You for this day that You have given. I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. I call upon You in the midst of every situation that has tried to hold me down and keep me from where You have called me to be. Draw me closer to You, knowing that in the process the All Consuming Fire will burn away those things that no longer need to exist in my life. All I need is You, God. I call on You knowing that You will answer. I call You knowing that You are God alone. I call You knowing that the enemy fears when we call on You in time of trouble.

In Jesus’ name! Amen!
