Day 18:

(Scripture)

Psalm 6

Morning Devotion

David’s prayer to the Lord begins with him asking the Lord to hear his request. It starts as a prayer of forgiveness so that the Lord would save him from his enemies. If we expect deliverance, there must first be forgiveness. Deliverance cannot function in unforgiveness. He cried out for forgiveness, asked for deliverance, and then declared his faith in God to his enemies.

May we have the same decree when we pray. May it not end with the prayer to God but also declare to the enemy who our God is!

(Prayer)

Thank You Lord for saving my soul! I do not deserve Your grace and favor. Forgive me of my unrighteousness and wrap Your loving arms around me. I cannot live without You. Life without You is meaningless and fruitless because You are the source of my strength and the provider of the air I breathe. Without You, my enemies would surround me and overcome me. Protect me, O’ Lord, from my enemies because they wait for me and desire death upon my life. They desire to take life from me, but they cannot because You are my life. You are LIFE! I declare that there is nothing my enemy can do to me with the Lord on my side. You are in charge of me. You are in charge of the situation. Thank You Lord!

I thank You that You will hear my prayer and answer. In the presence of my enemies You will not just remind me that You will protect me, but also remind me that You have prepared a home in glory for me. You are the WAY! I thank You for Your provision, Lord, and I will proudly share what You have done because You spoke it over me. I will proudly share the Way You have made because You promised it to me. I trust in every word You speak and believe every word You say. You cannot lie because You are the TRUTH, so I believe every promise You spoke TO ME and every word You spoke OVER ME.

God, I believe that this day will be filled with Your promises for me. I believe it!

Amen!
