Day 16:

(Scripture)

Psalm 103:1-5

Morning Devotion

David declares that he will bless the Lord with everything inside of him. All his might, thoughts and speech will be focused to bless the Lord. Then he says to forget not all His benefits. The benefits are what Satan wants to hide or diminish in our lives, so that we start looking for benefits elsewhere. Once he can get us to look elsewhere, we are in trouble. He is not looking for us to buy into the other options. Satan just wants us to window shop. Once we begin window shopping, we begin browsing and then complaining and finally fall prey to forgetting all He has done.

The passage reminds us to do 2 things throughout our day.

  1. Bless the Lord with your everything
  2. Never forget His benefits

God has been too good for us to browse elsewhere. Never Forget!

(Prayer)

Lord God. Your word reminds us to never forget the benefits that we have with You on our side. We have an obligation to ourselves to remind us of the goodness of the Lord and why we love to bless You in the good and the bad. This day is filled with unknowns that have not been revealed. Either way, we want to declare that we woke up this morning to bless Your name because there is no other God who exists from everlasting to everlasting. There is none like You. There is no benefit that exists outside of You.

God cause our eyes to fail when the enemy tries to show lies to us. Cause our ears to fail when the enemy tries to speak lies to us. Cause our mouths to fail when the enemy tries to put complaining on our lips. May our bodies only be used to bless the name of the Lord.

In Jesus’ name!

Amen!
