I Trust In God Alone

Day 13: Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust is imperative to your daily walk with God. It requires you to believe that He will do what He said even if the situation makes no sense. The confusion in our lives takes us to points and periods where we want to figure out the answer, but God just wants us to TRUST. More than just trusting, the writer says to do it wholly (with all your heart). In other words, leave no room for doubt, or fear because they will lead you to a backup plan that supports your understanding.

This is what makes trust challenging because you have to silence your opinion, lay aside your agenda, relax your mind and just believe that God is working a miracle while there is a Red Sea in front of you and the Egyptian Army behind you. Trust says “live or die, I will trust in God alone!”

(Prayer): Father in Heaven. I thank You for this day. You are the Lord of the breakthrough! You take me out of darkness and set me in Your light that never grows dim. I pray for today. The clouds of life cover and block the sun and my mind tries to tell me You are not there. God, the situation may try to block me from seeing You but it cannot block Your light. I trust in You because I know Your light is all I need to see to know that You are there.

Even if I cannot see Your light, I know that You will never leave me alone. I trust in You. Lord I pray that You will take full charge in this day. I yield to Your words and Your will no matter where You lead me. In Jesus’ name, amen!
