AN OPPORTUNITY AWAITS
Day 2: 2 Chron. 32:16-22
Throughout the day we are faced with opportunities. Hezekiah was not faced with opposition, but rather an opportunity to pray. He could have listened to the evil words of Sennacherib, or even responded to the false words, but he chose to take it to the Lord in prayer.
Today, you may be faced with an opportunity to retaliate or pray. The prayer of Hezekiah was not a prayer of anger or frustration. It was a controlled prayer to say that they have spoken against Him. When people speak against you, they are speaking against the One who made you. You have an opportunity to allow God to shine in your day. Don’t give the enemy an opportunity to shine.
Prayer: Lord Jesus! Maker of my heart, mind, and mouth. I cry to You to remember me today. I desire to give You an opportunity to shine so the world can have an opportunity to realize who reigns in my life. When issues and problems arise, help me to remember that the battle is won on my knees as I submit to You and not the situation before me
Jesus. Take full control of this day. Help me be silent before my enemy as I remember that the battle is not mine, it belongs to YOU!
Amen!
