Day 17:

(Scripture)

2 Timothy 1:6-14

Evening Devotion

Paul’s time was drawing near, and he reminded Timothy of the things that he should not forget. The gift. The gospel. The faith. Everyone of us has been blessed with a spiritual gift from God. What the enemy wants to do is distract our attention from the gift God gave us and focus on the gift God gave somebody else. Forgetting your gift is like receiving a present that is wrapped, not opening it and watching others open and enjoy their presents. Satan wants us to hide our gifts and operate in fear because someone else’s gift might be better.

There is no such as a better gift!! We must remove the spirit of fear in us and stir up (activate) the gift that is inside of us. The activation of a product is required and necessary in order to use it. When activated, it validates that the user has been granted a license to use this product. Likewise, activating your spiritual gift allows the Spirit of God to operate in your life for your benefit and for the benefit of others. Doing so allows the supernatural to function in the natural. The best way to activate your gift is through prayer with God. Tonight, let’s activate the gift in us!

(Prayer)

Lord God Almighty! There is none like You. Your promises are embedded in Your Holy Spirit, so I will not fear the problems nor the issues because Your Spirit lives in me and is not based in fear. Your Spirit in me is not rooted in cowardice, but love, power and a sound mind. I speak against fear inside my mind and grab hold to the courage You spoke over me.

Knowing that fear is removed, I pray that the activation of the gifts of the Spirit would begin in me. Lord, I desire to operate according to Your will for my life and I know that I cannot be effective without the gift You have given me. May Your Spirit move in me and quicken me to speak the word and function in faith; not fear.

I believe that You are going to do a mighty work in me and through me.

In Jesus’s name!

Amen!
