Day 16:

(Scripture)

Acts 14:19-23

Evening Devotion

Paul was stoned and left for dead after preaching the word of God and performing miracles through the power of God. The disciples gathered around him and he got up. He could have left and gone somewhere else but he continued preaching the message and people got saved.

Sometimes the message angers people who will attack the message inside of you. They do it not because they hate you but because they do not understand the God in you. The enemy wants to stop the message and control you from moving in God’s will, but it will not work because God is in control of the situation. Remember the most important aspect in your day is not the response of the world, but the response of the souls that need to hear the message of Jesus.

(Prayer)

I thank You, Lord Almighty, for another day. This is Your day and I say thank You. Even when Satan desired to destroy my body and punish my choice for walking with You, You healed every wound. I thank You for Your total healing power. I pray for those who are functioning with partial strength – experiencing mental, physical or spiritual damage through words spoken against them, sickness or a weakened body, and battling in their spiritual walk. Thank You for Total and Complete healing. You don’t keep us from the problems, but You allow the pain to come so You can heal us and show Your power. You also strengthen us so we can continue running the race while You remind us that You are in control of EVERY situation.

This is why the disciples rejoiced in the problems. They knew the problem could not dictate to You, Jesus. This is also why we will rejoice and ask You to take control of the situation, O’ God. When things get rough, I will stand firm and trust that the situation is not out of control, but held in control by the Captain of the Armies of the Host of Heaven – King Jesus!

You are in control of the situation!

You are in control of the result!

You are in control of the problem!

You are in control of my life!

Help me rest in Your control, O’ great Deliverer!

Amen!
