Day 11
(Scripture)
Daniel 9:3-4
(Morning Devotion)
Daniel was still in captivity. Time after time he was brought before the king to be tried and removed yet God kept Him – just like He promised. We are not the best at keeping covenants. As a matter of fact, we are the worst at it. This is what Daniel knew and praised God for the fact that God is not like us. Even in captivity, God is faithful.
When we are going through rough times, we do not have to find a new method of new way to reach God. Fasting and prayer is not anything new. It is an enhanced form of prayer that enables us to increase our relationship with God and receive from Him. We just need to know who He is because He is faithful to those who keep His commandments. Today. Just like Daniel, let us remember His promises in Deuteronomy 28.
(Prayer)
Father in heaven! Holy and righteous are You! You have made promises to us and You have kept them because of Your word. Thank You Lord! Even in our failures and weaknesses, You have never broken a promise and have established Your name in the hearts of those who love You. Help us, Oh Lord, in this hour. As we seek a word for the city, for the nation, may You remember Your promise to those who love You and keep Your commandments.
Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
