Day 9

(Scripture)

Psalm 7:1-5

Morning Devotion

Lord save me! David cried to the Lord for justice against his enemies. He spoke to the Lord asking for intervention because He knew that God was the only one who could solve the problem. It led David to say these dangerous words… God. I trust in You. They are dangerous because the situation must be left in God’s hands and out of your hands.

It is a hard thing for our flesh to relinquish control of a situation because the timing and outcome rely on the one who is now in control. God’s timing is what requires the most trust because He will let the situation get worse and reach an impossible state before He shows up. Look at Lazarus. Jesus waited for him to die before He showed up. We do not want to see DEATH, but God does not want to see DOUBT. Whatever the situation, pray believing that He will show up and show out. Trust in His timing because the outcome will be victory! He has never lost a battle! He never will lose!

(Prayer)

Lord, I call on You this morning. While I prepare to start my day for You, the enemy has prepared to attack me and drag me down through the mud. He wants to destroy me and my testimony. It’s a daily preparation that he desires to bring against me, but it’s not something that catches You by surprise.

I believe in You and know that Your timing is perfect. Lord, help me to trust in You and not waver when things look worse. Speak over me when doubt wants to establish its things in my mind. I am not called to question or doubt You.

I am called to trust and obey.

I am called to pray and have faith.

I am called to walk the talk.

I am called to stand and believe.

I am called Your child.

Help me remember this when the situation wants to change what I am called by calling into question Your timing. You are in control!

In Jesus’ name!

Amen!
