Day 7:

(Scripture)

John 15:1-8

Evening Devotion

Jesus declares that much fruit will come from us if we abide in Him. He also mentions that His word abides in us. Without His word, we can do nothing. This does not mean we cannot function in everyday operations. It means that we are unable to spiritually function without Him. Prayer without Him is weak. Praise without Him is a raucous.

Preaching without Him is trash.

It causes it to realize that Jesus was telling us that abiding in Him is a treasure. Without Him there is no spiritual function or value to that which we do. It is for this reason that we must treat His presence as a treasure because it imparts its value into whatever we do. Without Him, our spiritual life is destroyed. Before you pray… Before you praise… Before you preach… Abide in Him.

(Prayer)

Lord I need You. Without You life is worthless. I pray for those who lack the understanding and their prayer life is being destroyed. Lord I pray for restoration in their lives so they would see the value in being with You. It is not the same as calling myself a Christian, but living as a child of the vine; attached to our Father.

Continue to impart Your wisdom in us, Oh God. We desire to produce the fruit of the vine so the world can taste the goodness of the True Vine. Your word is good and sweet! May we ooze with Your goodness.

In Jesus Name!

Amen!
