Day 6
(Scripture)
Psalm 5:12
Morning Devotion
As a believer, we have the honor of knowing that we get to live a blessed life. That does not mean perfection and comfort with no problems. It does not mean no struggles. Sometimes most of our lives can be living in a struggle. Look at Paul. He was constantly imprisoned, beaten, hated. Yet, He was the one who said we are more than conquerors.
He was able to say this because he knew what David knew. The one who dedicates his life to the Lord is surrounded by the favor of God. What this means is that in the good times, God keeps us remembering who brought us here and in the bad times he reminds us who is keeping us from destruction. Favor says that we cannot be destroyed. Favor says that we are free to receive what God has for us. Favor says He hears us when we call. Favor says He walks with us when we are alone. Favor says He makes our enemy’s our footstool.
Live today knowing favor is all around you.
(Prayer)
Lord God. You are my King and Lord. May we NEVER cower or back down from the enemy, but claim victory in Jesus because You have also surrounded us with Your favor. When the enemy tries to curse our families, homes, or jobs, Your favor protects not just our bodies but even our possessions. We rejoice in this, not to cause us to boast, but to remind us that without You we would fail.
Your favor is precious to us! With these we stand strong knowing that the protection of God is sure and will not fail. You have never failed us and You never will fail us. God, strengthen our spirits so as we pray in the Spirit for ourselves we will also to pray that our brothers and sisters in Christ would experience the same protection and favor.
We need You O’ God!
We thank You O’ God!
Amen!
