“But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.” – Jonah 1:3 NKJV
Jonah heard from God and did not like the word of the Lord, so he chose to run away from God. It caused him to waste his TIME and MONEY. Be very careful when you want to do your own thing. You will end up wasting time and money on worthless things. More importantly, running from the presence of God will position you in grave danger because you will be outside of your place of security. Jonah did not like the word of God and paid the price in more ways than one.
