It’s a beautiful line to sing but it is not an easy thing to do when people have hurt your heart throughout life. Some people love the Lord but because of hurt they have a hard time giving Him ALL of their hearts because they don’t want to experience heartbreak again. He has access to the main areas but certain doors in their heart are locked.

This is what is so beautiful about Jesus. He made our hearts, knows our hurts, He is able to heal the hurt and says Trust in me and acknowledge that I am the One doing the work. Trusting in God is not a partial job. It’s like going for a swim in the pool.

Some people stay in the shallow end because they don’t want to get too wet.

Some people go in and let the water cover them but they make sure they can still feel the bottom.

Some people go to the diving board and just jump right in.

Trust says to dive into the Lord’s all encompassing ocean of love so He can show you why He has never failed in directing your path. We do not know the road or what tomorrow brings but He does. This is why we trust in Him!

(Prayer)

King of Glory and Ruler of my heart! I cannot thank You enough for what You have done for me. Sin was my captain, but You set me free. I was constantly in trouble and sin would leave me to face the problem alone. Help me to reinstated the trust that was once gone. I lost trust in men but I now trust in You because of Your faithfulness.

This trust is not because of my knowledge, but because I have faith in Your word. You declared that You have never lost and never failed. I have seen this in my life and declare that there is none else who has deserved my trust except You. Lord, keep me from thinking that my understanding is good enough to get by. I do not want to get by. I want to declare how great You have been in showing me the right way to go. God of Glory. I thank You for all You have done. I bless Your name!

Amen!

Day 13: (Scripture) Proverbs 3:5-6 Morning Devotion I love this song that says “Lord, I give You my heart…”.
